How to get started with InfluencersKit

The complete setup walkthrough: verify your account, import subscribers, publish a landing page, and send your first email.

InfluencersKit is an email marketing platform built for creators: grow an audience you own, send newsletters, automate your marketing, and monetize with products, memberships, and ads — all from one dashboard.

This guide takes you from a brand-new account to your first sent email and your first automation. Most creators finish it in under an hour.

Step 1 — Create your account and verify your email

Sign up on the free Starter plan — no credit card required. We send a verification link to your email address; click it to confirm. Verification unlocks email sending and billing on your account.

Didn't get the email? The dashboard shows a banner with a “Resend verification” button, and the Setup Guide on your Overview page has one too.

Step 2 — Import your subscribers

If you already have an audience on another platform, bring it with you before you send anything.

  1. 1Export your subscriber list as a CSV from your current tool (Kit, Mailchimp, Substack, Beehiiv, Flodesk, or Google Sheets all export CSV).
  2. 2In the dashboard, open Grow → Integrations & Imports and switch to the CSV Imports tab.
  3. 3Upload your file and map the columns (email, name, tags) when prompted.
  4. 4Review the import summary — new subscribers appear under Grow → Subscribers, where you can tag and segment them.

Only import people who opted in to hear from you. Purchased or scraped lists hurt your deliverability and violate our terms.

Step 3 — Publish a landing page or signup form

Landing pages and signup forms are how you grow from day one. They're mobile-optimized and hosted for you, so there's nothing to install.

  1. 1Open Grow → Landing Pages & Forms and click to create a new page.
  2. 2Pick a layout, add your headline, description, and branding.
  3. 3Publish and copy the page URL.
  4. 4Add the link to your social bios, link-in-bio tool, YouTube descriptions, or a QR code.

Step 4 — Design your email

Open Send → Email Templates. The drag-and-drop builder gives you responsive templates for newsletters, announcements, and promotions — customize colors, fonts, and blocks to match your brand. Every template is mobile-responsive out of the box.

Step 5 — Send your first broadcast

  1. 1Open Send → Broadcast and create a new broadcast.
  2. 2Choose the template you designed (the subject line pre-fills from the template — edit it freely).
  3. 3Pick your recipients: your whole list or a segment.
  4. 4Send now, or schedule a date and time.

A short welcome note (“thanks for being here, here's what to expect”) is the perfect first broadcast — it warms up your sending reputation and sets expectations.

Step 6 — Automate your welcome

Under Send → Sequences, build a welcome series that greets every new subscriber automatically. When you're ready for more, Automations → Workflow Builder adds conditional logic, delays, and behavior-based triggers.

Where to go next

  • Monetize → Digital Goods — sell eBooks, templates, or courses with Stripe/PayPal checkout.
  • Monetize → MailAdx / InboxBanner — earn ad revenue from your newsletter.
  • Analytics → Audience Analytics — watch growth trends, sources, and engagement scores.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. The Starter plan is free and doesn't require a card. Upgrade to Creator or Pro from Settings when you need more.

How long does migration from another platform take?

For most lists it's about 10 minutes: export CSV from your old tool, import it under Grow → Integrations & Imports, and send your first broadcast.

Can I use my own sending domain?

Yes — you can configure a custom sending domain in Settings so emails come from your own brand. See the “Set up a custom sending domain” article.
