Monetisation Policy

Effective Date: July 12, 2026 · Last Updated: July 12, 2026

This Monetisation Policy (“Policy”) governs how creators, publishers, and agencies (“Publishers” or “Creators”) earn revenue by serving advertisements and sponsored content in their newsletters using the InfluencersKit platform, powered by the MailAdx advertising network.

This Policy details inventory eligibility, impression counting, ad decision rules, fee schedules, payout terms, and prohibited activities. It is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Service. We advise you to read this document in conjunction with our Invalid Traffic Policy and Advertising Policy.

1. Scope and Integration

InfluencersKit provides email marketing, list management, and newsletter delivery services. Through a deep integration with the MailAdx ad exchange and ad server, InfluencersKit enables Creators to monetise their audiences.

This Policy applies to all ad placements in newsletters sent via InfluencersKit, whether the demand is sourced through:

  • Direct-Sold Campaigns: Sponsorships or ads negotiated directly by you with your own advertisers and trafficked through the InfluencersKit portal.
  • The MailAdx Marketplace: Programmatic native ads, banners, or sponsor blocks sourced automatically from MailAdx's internal Demand-Side Platform (DSP) partners.
  • OpenRTB Programmatic Demand: Real-time auctioned ads coming from external programmatic exchanges connected to the MailAdx network.

2. Publisher and Inventory Eligibility

To qualify for monetisation through the InfluencersKit and MailAdx network, a Publisher and their newsletters must satisfy all of the following criteria:

  • Consent-Based Audiences: All newsletters must be delivered to genuine, double opt-in subscribers who have explicitly agreed to receive communications from you. The use of purchased, leased, rented, scraped, or publicly harvested email lists is strictly prohibited.
  • Inventory Authorization: You may only monetise newsletters that you own or are contractually authorized to represent. Spoofing sending domains or misrepresenting list profiles is forbade.
  • Legal Compliance: Newsletters must comply with all regional regulations governing commercial email, including but not limited to CAN-SPAM (US), CASL (Canada), GDPR (EU/UK), and local consumer protection laws. Every newsletter must feature a clear, functional opt-out (unsubscribe) mechanism.
  • Content Quality Standards: Your newsletter content must not contain material prohibited under our Advertising Policy. Sites or newsletters created solely for the purpose of serving ads (Made-For-Advertising or MFA properties) are not permitted.
  • Privacy Disclosures: Publishers must maintain a clear and easily accessible privacy policy on their website disclosing the collection and share of hashed subscriber identifiers and usage data with measurement partners, in compliance with our Privacy Policy.

3. Payouts and Revenue Share

The financial relationship for monetised campaigns is structured to offer maximum returns to the Creator:

  • Direct-Sold Placements: For sponsorships and ads negotiated directly by you, you keep 100% of the revenue negotiated with your advertisers. InfluencersKit/MailAdx charges a flat platform serving fee per 1,000 delivered impressions (CPM), as outlined in your billing panel or applicable pricing sheet.
  • Marketplace & Programmatic Ads: For ads filled automatically via the MailAdx marketplace or OpenRTB demand, earnings are subject to a revenue share. The revenue share split is credited to your balance net of transaction, exchange, and DSP fees, as shown on your dashboard rate card.
  • Prepaid Wallets: Advertisers run campaigns using prepaid wallets denominated in USD. Publisher fees and earnings are processed dynamically as verified impressions are served.

4. Impression Measurement and Counts

Because email clients load images and remote assets dynamically, measurement in email requires specific protocols:

  • Open-Time Counting: An impression is counted and becomes billable only when the ad creative is fetched by the subscriber's email client at open time and a paid creative is delivered. Impressions are not counted when an email is sent.
  • Invalid Traffic (IVT) Filtering: All raw ad fetches are filtered through the MailAdx IVT detection pipeline (aligned with MRC standards). Non-human traffic, proxy fetches (such as Apple Mail Privacy Protection pre-rendering), and automated security scanners are excluded from billable and payable counts. See our Invalid Traffic Policy for details.
  • Click Verification: Clicks are tracked via redirect links and are scrubbed to remove robotic activity, such as corporate spam filters testing links.

5. Payout Timelines and Requirements

  • Payment Schedule: Publisher earnings are reconciled at the end of each calendar month and paid on a Net-30 basis (30 days after the end of the month in which the revenue was earned), pending traffic validation.
  • Minimum Balance Threshold: Payouts are processed once your unpaid balance reaches the minimum threshold (default: $100 USD). Unpaid earnings below the threshold roll over to the following month.
  • Tax & Verification: Prior to receiving payouts, you must submit a valid tax form (e.g., W-9 for US creators, W-8BEN for international creators) and satisfy any identity verification processes required by our payment processors.
  • Local Currency Conversion: While balances are tracked in USD, payouts may be converted to your local currency by our payment processor, subject to standard exchange rates and processing fees.

6. Adjustments, Deductions, and Clawbacks

Earnings may be adjusted under certain circumstances to protect the integrity of the network:

  • Reconciliation Adjustments: If subsequent post-serve analysis (within 30 days of delivery) detects Sophisticated Invalid Traffic (SIVT) on your inventory, associated earnings will be adjusted and deducted from your pending balance.
  • Advertiser Refunds: If an advertiser is refunded due to verified delivery discrepancies, technical serving issues, or billing disputes on your inventory, the corresponding publisher earnings will be reversed.
  • Payment Clawbacks: In the event that invalid traffic or fraudulent activity is discovered after a payout has been issued, we reserve the right to offset the clawed-back amount against future earnings or invoice you directly for the difference.
  • Discrepancy Disputes: Any reporting disputes must be raised in writing within 30 days of the monthly statement. Discrepancies below 5% are considered within normal statistical tolerance and will not result in manual billing adjustments.

7. Prohibited Monetisation Practices

Engaging in any of the following activities is a material breach of our terms and will result in the immediate forfeiture of unpaid earnings, suspension of ad serving, and potential account termination:

  • Artificial Traffic Generation: Generating impressions or clicks using bots, scripts, click farms, emulators, auto-reload tools, or paid-to-open/paid-to-click incentive programs.
  • Ad Stacking and Hidden Placements: Stacking multiple ad blocks on top of one another, rendering ads in 1x1 pixels, placing ads in invisible elements, or displaying creatives in any manner where a human reader cannot naturally view them.
  • Misrepresenting Audiences: Inflating list sizes, falsifying engagement metrics, or fabricating demographic, geographic, or subscriber characteristics.
  • Targeted Spamming: Sending emails to spam traps, honeypots, or inactive/synthetic inboxes to artificially boost delivery volume.
  • Signal Manipulation: Interfering with tracking beacons, altering subscriber user-agents, spoofing geographical location headers, or submitting falsified subscriber hashes.

8. Quality and Brand Safety Guarantees

Publishers must maintain an environment that protects advertiser brand safety:

  • Category Blocking: Publishers must honor competitive-exclusion settings and category restrictions agreed upon with advertisers or configured in the system.
  • Creative Alignment: Ad slots must correspond directly to the sizes, layouts, and placements defined in your template configurations.
  • Deliverability Standards: Publishers must maintain low bounce rates, low spam complaint rates (typically under 0.1%), and clean list hygiene. Failure to do so may lead to programmatic demand being restricted from your account.

9. Enforcement and Appeals

We monitor network health continuously. In case of policy violations, we may restrict programmatic demand, suspend ad serving, withhold payout balances, or terminate accounts.

If your account is suspended or earnings are adjusted, you may appeal the decision within 30 days by emailing our policy team at policy@influencerskit.com. Appeals must include supporting data, such as email service provider logs, acquisition sources, and campaign stats.

10. Updates and Contact

We reserve the right to modify this Monetisation Policy at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of the policy and posting a notice in the creator dashboard. Continued use of monetisation features after updates constitute acceptance of the revised policy.
